Fiber Optic Splice Closure Is A Transmission Device

Fiber optic splice closure is normally used in conjunction with outdoor fiber-optic cables, providing space for splicing of outdoor fiber-optic cables. The fiber optic connector closure and the internal fiber tray will protect the splice part of the spliced fiber and the outdoor cable. Typically, the fiber optic connector closure is of the dome type and the horizontal type, and the horizontal fiber optic connector closure is used more frequently. The fiber optic splice closure is made of a special industrial grade high tension plastic with a reliable moisture barrier. They are also optimized to resist the aging of materials due to factors in the natural environment such as ultraviolet light. Regardless of the structure of the cable, it is necessary to have, for example, a device that connects a transmission medium at one end of a given length cable to a corresponding transmission medium at an adjacent end of another length of cable. Usually with a closed configuration in which all the conductors are connected, wound and stored and protected by the environment. When the optical fiber is joined by a mechanical device or by melt bonding, a sufficiently relaxed optical fiber has been provided in the prior art closed construction so that the fiber optic splice closure can be pulled out of the closed configuration and placed in a device for fabricating the fiber terminals and connected together. When the closed construction is sealed, that is, when the bonding process has been completed, it is generally desirable that the optical fiber of each cable be contained in the junction closed structure at least about 0.5 m. In such a device, there must be a method of storing a slack portion of a curvature that normally requires a minimum bending radius of not less than about 3.7 to 5 cm for protecting the joint and holding the optical fibers together in an orderly manner. In another closed configuration, a tubular housing having a closed end and an open end is adapted to receive and seal to the cable end assembly. The cable terminal assembly includes a cable entry device through which the routing is selected for the cable to be engaged. A support member extends from the cable entry device and has a free end disposed adjacent the closed end of the housing. The support includes a support for supporting a fiber splice joint and a set of fiber optic splice trays.
